Agora mesmo estou cuurently em casa, mas precisam de algum dinheiro extra para projetos? What kind of situation do you guys have? Que tipo de situação que vocês têm? Does anyone work from home or trade off when hubby/wife gets home? Algum trabalho de casa ou de "trade off" quando marido / mulher recebe em casa? If you have any ideas for please let me know. Leisure skills are important.  Mucho Importante!  or I guess it should be "muy importante".  Hey, don't distract me!  I've been thinking about leisure skills for our kids with autism since my last blog...and it's bugging me!  You may or may not know that, besides having a son with autism, I am a speech language pathologist in a public school, and I work with children who are on the autism spectrum.  I also have many friends who have kids with autism, as well as having a nephew who has autism.  There must be something in the water here in NJ!  (haha, not actually so funny because there IS a lot of crap in the water AND in the soil AND in the air).  Well, in our schools, social skills groups are usually in everyone's IEPs because that's how social skills are adressed, right?  Well, I had forgotten the fight I put up when my son was younger and had recess...I couldn't figure out why social skills were not addressed every moment of the day.  And I kept asking why couldn't the aide who was with him at lunch and recess facilitate some kind of appropriate play interaction with the other kids? Você pode ou não sabe que, além de ter um filho com autismo, eu sou um fala uma língua patologista em escola pública, e eu trabalho com crianças que estão no espectro do autismo. eu também tenho muitos amigos que têm crianças com autismo , Além de ter um sobrinho, que tem autismo. Deve haver algo na água aqui em NJ! (Haha, na verdade não tão engraçado, porque existe um monte de porcaria na água e no solo e no ar). Bem , Nas nossas escolas, habilidades sociais estão geralmente em grupos de todos IEPs porque isso é como as competências sociais são dirigidos, certo? Bom, eu tinha esquecido da luta Eu montei o meu filho quando era mais jovem e tivesse recesso ... Eu não poderia descobrir razão pela qual as habilidades sociais não foram abordados todos os momentos do dia. E eu guardei perguntando por que razão não poderia o assessor que estava com ele no almoço e recesso facilitar algum tipo de jogo adequada interação com as outras crianças? I thought that maybe we should all put our heads together and try to give Cindy some ideas on how to fade out Marcel's throwing of toys.  After all, we don't want her Christmas to be ruined with a hospital visit. Pensei que talvez todos nós devemos colocar as nossas cabeças juntas, e tentar dar a Cindy algumas ideias sobre a forma de fade out Marcel's jogando de brinquedos. 1)  This is something I pulled from an article in the Autism and Aspergers Consulting, LLC newsletter online by Michael A. Montes entitled "Play with Purpose."  This group seems to advocate the Floor-Time philosophy: 1) Isto é algo que me puxou a partir de um artigo no Autismo e Aspergers Consulting, LLC boletim informativo on-line por Michael A. " Excess behaviors such as throwing toys are sometimes associated with autism. Throwing toys is usually perceived as an inappropriate behavior; however, children with autism may enjoy the activity for several reasons. Throwing toys may result in receiving attention or the child may enjoy the sensations provided by the activity such as, watching an object fly through the air and/or the sound of an object making contact with another. The child perceives pleasant visual and/or auditory input and these excess behaviors are considered self-stimulatory. "Excesso comportamentos, como jogar os brinquedos são algumas vezes associados com autismo. Throwing brinquedos é geralmente entendida como um comportamento inadequado, entretanto, as crianças com autismo podem desfrutar da actividade por várias razões. Well, we took McKay in today for his autism screening with the psychologist. Bem, nós pegamos na McKay hoje para o seu autismo rastreio com o psicólogo. It went well, and I learned a lot of new things I never noticed with McKay that he does. Que correu bem, e eu aprendi um monte de coisas novas com McKay Nunca reparei que ele faz. The psychologist is not going to "officially" diganose him with autism just yet (she wants him to see a speech therapist, occupational therpaist and a neurologist) She did however say that since he was abused by my ex at such a young age, (3 months) that a lot of what he is doing is related to that and he has some PDD because of it and he tends to show  a lot of related signs to autism, now whether it is fully related to that, we will have to wait and see. O psicólogo não está indo para "oficialmente" diganose-lo apenas com o autismo ainda (ela quer vê-lo a um terapeuta da fala, ocupacionais e de um neurologista therpaist) Ela disse no entanto dizer que, uma vez que ele foi abusado pelo meu ex em tão tenra idade, ( 3 meses) que muito do que ele está fazendo e que está relacionado a ele tem alguns PDD por causa dela e ele tende a mostrar um monte de sinais relacionados ao autismo, que agora se está totalmente relacionada a isso, vamos ter de esperar e ver. But she said he does have the ability to progress and improve in all areas which is a blessing. Mas ela disse que ele tem a capacidade de progredir e melhorar em todas as áreas, que é uma bênção. We are going to take him to a early intervention preschool now, and she sees him doing really well in that. She observed him playing and different things and was really interested in the way he did things and what he noticed around the room. She also said that when we have to do these visits with my ex (I know, it sucks!) that McKay acts the way he does after them (he gets really violent and starts to withdraw a little and isn't as happy) is because he does remember my ex and what he did to him, even though he was so young, he is remembering him and what happened (he has a lot of nightmares after he sees him...I don't blame the little guy) so she is relating a lot of what he does to what my ex did. It brought all those feelings of hate back towards my ex and if I find out more that McKay could of had a better (even semi normal) life if my ex had not done what he did to McKay then I will make it so he is never around McKay anymore. Ela trouxe todos esses sentimentos de ódio para com o meu ex voltar e se eu descobrir mais do que poderia McKay tinha uma melhor (mesmo semi normal) vida se não tivesse feito o meu ex o que ele fez para McKay então vou deixar isso ele nunca é McKay redor anymore. I wish the courts were more willing to make it that way and stop giving criminals second chances! Recently, I went looking for an actual definition of a positive or negative person, and really couldn’t find one in a nutshell, so I think these are somewhat amibiguous terms that we all understand a little differently and use in different contexts that are sometimes not complete evident. Recentemente, fui à procura de uma verdadeira definição de uma pessoa positiva ou negativa, e realmente não poderia encontrar uma em poucas palavras, por isso acho que estas são um pouco amibiguous termos que todos compreendam um pouco diferente e utilização em diferentes contextos que são por vezes não completar evidente.   So, I decided to do a little more research on how the terms are commonly used with respect to autistic behaviors. I found a blog written by CS Wyatt, an educator and person with autism, entitled “Life is Good, Even If I Don’t Say So,” that describes how he feels that people see his as being negative because he tends not to mention all of obvious positives he sees around him, but mentions instead the “things that should be changed.” Eu encontrei um blog escrito por CS Wyatt, um educador e pessoa com autismo, intitulado "A vida é boa, apesar de não dizê-lo", que descreve como ele se sente que a gente vê como o seu, pois ele tende a ser negativa para não mencionar todos os aspectos positivos evidentes de que ele vê em torno dele, mas em vez menciona o "coisas que deveriam ser mudada."   Please follow this read and read his complete blog post: Por favor, siga este ler e ler seu blog post completo:

Today was Michael's Parent Teacher conference with his preschool teacher. Hoje foi Michael Parent Teacher's conferência com sua professora pré-escolar. I really like her, she has been a miracle for Michael. Eu realmente gosto dela, ela tem sido um milagre para Michael.

Michael is doing well in some areas, and of course still has off days. Michael está indo bem em algumas áreas, e obviamente ainda tem off dias. But other than that he is doing very well. Mas, diferente da que ele está fazendo muito bem. We talked about Susy a little, and Onalee says she has been the perfect little friend, always helping Michael if he needs it, and being sweet as pie to him. Conversamos um pouco sobre Susy, e Onalee diz que tem sido o amigo perfeito, Michael Semper ajudando quando ele precisa dela, como torta doce e estar com ele.

We are going to try a social story for waiting on the  bus. Nós vamos tentar uma história social para esperar o ônibus. Today was another hard day on Michael. Hoje foi mais um duro dia de Michael. Dallas purposely started it this morning. Dallas propositalmente ele começou esta manhã. He pushed Michael aside in the hall, the stairs, and then tried blocking the downstairs door.
